There
are a few expenses that you can prepare for before leasing:
This
feee is paid to the property at the time you complete your rental
application, so they can take the unit off of the market and hold
it for you. Normally, you can expect to pay $100 to $150 for a
1-bedroom unit, $100 to $200 for a 2-bedroom unit, and $150 to
$300 for a 3-bedroom unit. Sometimes a portion of this deposit
is non-refundable to pay for make-ready expenses when you vacate
the unit. Our agents are updated daily as to if there are any
speicals to reduce this cost.
This is paid to the property at the time you complete your rental
application. It pays for the processing of your application. Application
fees range from $25 to $40 and is non refundable. (Each property
that you apply at will charge an application fee, so you will
want to make your final property selection before completing the
application.) Usually there is an apartment community running
a special either discounting or eliminating the application fee.
Our locators will be able to tell you about any of these specials.
Upon moving in, you will be expected to pay that month's portion
of the rent. For example, if you move in on the first of the month,
you will pay for the entire month's rent. Depending on what time
of the month you move in the prorated amount may or may not be
added to the following months rent.
The properties that allow small pets, charge a deposit that ranges
from $200 to $500, depending on the type of pet. You can also
expect that a portion or all of the pet deposit will be non-refundable.
Our agents can also help you if you have a large pet, as they
know each property's requirements.
