You should start looking for your new apartment home 30-45 days ahead of your move date. Any longer than that and we simply do not know what will be available for the time you would need the apartment. However, we can still get you updated with prices, specials, etc.

Once you have secured an apartment, make sure that you contact the utility companies for your new and old residence. Contact your movers as soon as possible. Movers are extremely busy and sometimes hard to get.

Verify that your apartment is going to be ready at the time you have requested. Some times your apartment may not be ready until after 5-6:00 p.m. So you may want to get a time as well.

Try to get your rented moving truck to allow you extra days if needed. This is important when an apartment or movers are not available as expected. This also allows for bad weather.

If you can afford a professional mover, this is the way to go. Many times this is the inexpensive route over the long run.
